Effective use of Algebra tiles for KS3 - Work group
Teachers initially thought about progression in the development of Algebra concepts, and then considered how algebra tiles might help secure the understanding for students.
Time to think and time to explore are key for any professional development and this session was exactly that.
The session was not driven by a PPT. If we want students to ask "what happens if ?" and "will it always work?" then we need to give teachers time to follow their lines of enquiry and then share the outcomes as part of their development.
